Acts of Service

Were you inspired and encouraged by Leah’s examples of servitude? We at Hear My Heart Publishing were, so much so, we’d like to create an opportunity for interested readers to share their acts of kindness. Our belief is together we can make a difference in this world. Remember, no matter how big or small an act of service is – it matters to the recipient.

In April, there is a “Pay It Forward Day,” which is a “global initiative to make a difference by creating a huge ripple of kindness felt across the world” (https://payitforwardday.com). Like “Pay It Forward Day” and Leah’s example, we share a belief that together we can make a difference. So, no matter whether you call it paying it forward, random acts of kindness, acts of service, or Leah’s pass it on, we are all God’s hands. We are capable of reaching out to someone each day and offering joy and encouragement, which can be summarized in one word: Jesus.

Maybe you were a recipient of kindness, or you were God’s hands bestowing kindness. Share with us and other readers how they, too, can make a difference in other’s lives. Or, you may just offer encouragement to those who want to serve but don’t know what to do.

Together, let’s become God’s Hands and pass it on.

  1. My husband and I went out for dinner and ran into some neighbors and three of their friends, whom we didn’t know. Our neighbors invited us to join them, which we did. At the end of the meal, one of our “new friends” paid for our dinner. His wife had recently died, and he said he enjoyed having dinner with others to beat the lonliness. His generosity was indeed a blessing we won’t ever forget.
